Railway Wheel Skidding of Locomotive

Whenever the braking power exceeds the attachment limit, the  railway locomotive wheels are slipped.

 

Due to the following reasons, the braking force may be higher:

1) The setting of the automatic brake valve is incorrect.

2) The setting of independent brake valves is incorrect.

3) Incorrectly setting pressure valve settings.

4) Make -based calibration failure.

5) If the driver did not press PVEF during the brake through A9.

 

Other unfavorable conditions that may cause wheels to slip.

1) The poor power of the train can also cause the wheels to slip.

 

Insufficient adhesion of the rail interface causes the railway wheels to slip. At this time, if the driver's Q51 does not retreat, the wheels continue to exert a certain force to cause the wheels to slip.

 

The impact of wheel slipping:

1) The wheel slipping will damage the contour of the tire on the car, which may require the wheels to turn or replace the wheel pair.

2) The slippery wheel may cause the rail damage and the orbital break.

 

Avoid the steps of the wheel slip:

1) When using brakes normally, press PVEF until the train speed is lower than 5 kmph.

2) Make sure that the C3W distribution valve is kept in the cargo location when the freight train works.

3) Maximum use of resistor braking.

4) Make sure that the locomotive brakes and train brakes are completely released before the slot.

5) When loosening the brakes, do not slot upwards before the AFI needle falls.

6) If you find the brake card, please do not pull the train.

7) Drivers should not try to start repeatedly when the train stumbles, otherwise the wheels, tracks and traction motors may be damaged. (Don't wedge Q51)

8) The driver should perform the feel test.
