INTRODUCE :

The coupler yoke acts as a groove for the traction gear and serves to hold the gear near the trailing end of the coupler into which the follower is inserted. The coupler yoke is connected to the rear end of the coupler through a yoke pin or draft key, so that the force exerted on the coupler head is damped by the towing device. Therefore, the design of the yoke should accommodate the draft gear and the shank end of the coupler. On the one hand, in order to achieve standardization in the railway industry, the length of the draft gear pocket of the yoke should be adapted to the stroke of the draft gear. On the other hand, the sharpness of the front end of the yoke should be suitable for the installation of the rear end of the coupler shank.
