INTRODUCE :

Draft gear followers, also known as thrust plates, are rectangular metal plates that are placed inside the coupler yoke at the front of the draft gear, and at the rear of the coupler tail. It acts as a stop on the front of the draft gear. It transfers the stress of the draft gear force to the center beam of the wagon.

SPECIFICATIONS :

Kingrail Parts produces sub-standard followers for widely used couplers:

1. Y46A or Y46AE follower

* Front driven non-rotating follower

* Y46A, forged steel is AISI 1045, heat treatment is quenched and tempered.

* Y46AE, cast steel is AAR M-201 grade E, heat treatment is quenched and tempered.

* For use with AAR "E/F" or "F" type couplers such as F70DE.

2. Y44A or Y44AE follower

* Y44A, forged steel is AISI 1045, heat treatment is quenched and tempered.

* Y44AE,M cast steel is AAR M-201 Grade E, heat treatment is quenched and tempered.

* For AAR "E" type couplers such as E60DE

* Meets the requirements of AAR S-119

3. Rotary Coupler Follower

* Front follower, rotating

* Cast steel is AAR M-201 Grade E, heat treatment is quenched and tempered.

* For F type rotary coupler, such as FR209E

4. 106.00.003-0, Thrust Plate

* Part number: 106.00.003-0

*Forged Steel: Gost Standard, C45 or 38XC, quenched and tempered heat treated.

* For CA-3 coupler

* Application is from Russia, Ukraine or other CIS countries.
